Police investigating Northeast shooting

Police are investigating a Friday night shooting that left 53-year-old Eric Linnair Wright dead.

According to a police spokesperson, around 9:30 p.m. police responded to reports of gunfire on 900 block of 12th St., NE. Upon their arrival, police found Wright unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds.

Wright was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
